Parkway West Students Raise More Than $9K to Fight Childhood Cancers

Parkway West High School students collected over $9,000 for both the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Friends of Kids with Cancer.

According to the Parkway School District, Parkway West High School students collected over $9,000 in an effort to help fight childhood cancers.

In an news release, Parkway stated that the Make-A-Wish Foundation will receive $7096.08 and Friends of Kids with Cancer will receive nearly $2,000. 

According to the school newspaper, The West Pathfinder, most of the money was raised at the senior vs. junior Powder Puff game, during Homecoming Week.

Students presented the organizations with their checks during a school pep rally earlier this month.
