The new St. Louis County Library addition is the ninth teen center opened within St. Louis County's 20 branches, according to St. Louis County Library Communications Manager Jennifer McBride.

The new teen center was designed by Arcturisis and named after Marcia and Sanford Jaffe, whose donation made the teen center possible, according to a press release from the St. Louis County Library. The St. Louis County Library Foundation has been raising funds for teen centers since 2009, the release stated.
