St. Louis PHA Support Group Dinner & Wine Tasting Fundraiser
A Dinner & Wine Tasting Fundraiser will be held on November 12, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Sunset Lakes Golf Club at 13366 W. Watson Rd., St. Louis, MO 63127. There will be a delicious home-cooked buffet dinner, wine tasting by the Bardenheier Cellar, live music by Scott Kay and the Continentals, dancing and a silent auction. We have the honor of hosting two distinguished guest speakers Dr. Murali Chakinala of Washington University School of Medicine St. Louis, and Dr. Laura D’Anna Board Chairperson of the Trustees at the Pulmonary Hypertension Association from Silver Springs, MD.
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a simplified name for a complex health problem – continuous high blood pressure in the pulmonary artery in the lungs, resulting in an enlarged heart which can lose its ability to pump leading to heart failure. There is no cure; however, with recent advancements in treatment patients are living longer.
