On Tuesday, August 21, 2012, Garden Villas Retirement Community in conjunction with Pathways Hospice will present “Compassionate Conversations” at 9:00 a.m. Susie Pekios, MSW, will share how to begin the conversation and speak with a loved one that may have a life-long or terminal illness. The presentation will help to coach and manage the emotions personally and those of your loved one when hospice may be needed. Prior to hospice, palliative care will also be addressed as a means to comfort and manage pain prior to hospice.
