Veterans Get Free Restaurant Meals On Veterans Day

Here's a list highlighting where and what is free to our West County veterans.

Here's a big thanks to our military veterans on Friday.

Enjoy a free lunch at one of these restaurants listed. There are also some discounts on shopping at Footlocker, The Home Depot, Lowes and other stores at the bottom.

West County's American Legion on Spirit of St. Louis Road provided the link to this listing of freebies for Friday, Veterans Day.

Veterans Day Restaurant Offerings:

Applebee's - All veterans and active-duty military eat free from a limited menu on Friday.

Golden Corral - Free meal, Nov. 14.

Outback Steakhouse - Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary Bloomin' Onion and Coca-Cola, through Friday.

Texas Roadhouse - Free lunch for all veterans from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Friday.

Hooters – Free meal, Friday.

McCormick & Schmick's – Free meal, Nov. 13.

Hy-Vee – Free meal, Friday. Find a Hy-Vee near you and call to confirm that they are participating, and the hours of the free buffet.

UNO Chicago Grill – To all active and retired military personnel, a discount of 19.43 percent off their entire food bill (excluding alcohol), no matter how many family members and friends they dine with, through Friday.

T.G.I. Friday's - veterans and servicemembers can buy one entrée and get one free, through Nov. 14.

Tim Horton's – all U.S. locations are offering a free Star Spangled Vanilla Dip donut to all veterans, Friday.

Other offers:

Foot Locker- Veterans, servicemembers (active-duty, Guard and reserve) and their immediate families with a Foot Locker Veterans Advantage Card receive a 20-percent discount, every day of the year.

Anheuser-Busch Parks. Active-duty servicemembers get free admission, for themselves and up to 3 dependents, to any of several of the parks once a year.

Big Lots – 10 percent off your entire purchase, Friday.

Home Depot and Lowes Coupon Updates

Update: Home Depot and Lowes 10% Military Discount Available Everyday.

Home Depot: The Home Depot is offering all active duty personnel, reservists, retired military, veterans and their families a 10 percent discount off their purchases in honor of Veteran's Day. The offer is valid on purchases of up to $2,000 for a maximum of $200 and is available at The Home Depot stores, The Home Depot Design Center locations, Yardbirds and EXPO Design Center(R) locations. The 10% discount is available everyday for active duty and retirees, but not all veterans. Home Depot makes this offer available to all veterans on most military holidays. You can also find Home Depot discounts online.

Lowes: Lowe's Companies, Inc. will offer all active, reserve, honorably discharged, retired military personnel and their immediate family members a 10 percent discount on in-store U.S. purchases made during the Veterans Day holiday. The discount is available Nov. 7 – Nov. 11. The discount is available on in-stock and special order purchases up to $5,000. To qualify, individuals must present a valid military ID or other proof of service. Excluded from the discount are sales via Lowes.com, previous sales, and purchases of services or gift cards. Like Home Depot, Lowes offers this discount daily to active duty military members, but not to veterans. However, they extend the offer to military veterans on military holidays. You can also find exclusive discounts at Lowe's.com.
