Election Day Town and Country-Manchester Voters' Guide

Information for Town and Country and Manchester voters as they prepare for alderman, Parkway School Board, the county assessor and fire board races in Tuesday's election.

Polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and close at 7 p.m.

Town and Coutry - Manchester Patch will be out early talking with voters and let you know what they are saying about Tuesday's election. Patch will also post election results as they come in Tuesday night and speak with candidates as the results come in.

Voters will take to the polls for board of aldermen races in both Town and Country and Manchester. Residents will also vote on Parkway School Board members, the West County EMS and Fire Protection Board Secretary and choose a county assessor for the first time.

Of the four aldermen races in Town and Country, only one is contested. Ward 2 Alderman and Board President Tim Welby is running against write-in candidate John Hoffmann.

Manchester Board of Aldermen

Of the three aldermen races in Manchester, two are contested. Ward 1 Alderman Bob Tullock is running against Paul Hamill and Ward 3 Alderman Don Ryan is running against John Schrader.

County Assessor

In 2010, voters approved a St. Louis County Charter amendment establishing the , serving a four-year term.

The assessor heads the St. Louis County Assessment Division, which discovers, identifies, classifies and assesses all real and personal property in St. Louis County.

Every two years, the Assessment Division is required by the state to reassess values on about 389,000 parcels of real estate in St. Louis County to market value. 

The choice pits a third-term state representative, , against a real estate executive with 37 years experience, . Both candidates said they believe that by making it an elected position, voters sent a message that they want the assessor to be accountable to them. Both have .

West County EMS and Fire Protection District Board of Directors

Board secretary for the , , is up for re-election April 5. Levine is running uncontested for another six-year term. Levine has served on the board since 2001 and lived in Manchester for 34 years.
