Shots Reportedly Fired at MoDOT Work Crews, No Injuries

Police responded to a report of shots being fired at work crews Wednesday, but have no suspects.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department tells Patch they received a report of shots fired at  road crews who were working in south St. Louis Wednesday.

"We're not exactly sure why or if they were intended for us," MoDOT spokesperson Kara Price tells Patch.

Authorities said the crews were working on Interstate 55 near 7th Street around 2:15 p.m. when they reported shots being fired.

Police said the crews did not see any suspects or a suspect vehicle and no one was struck by bullets.

Investigators also could not locate any bullets at the scene.
