The Missouri Department of Transportation is closing Route 141, the Earth City Expressway, at the railroad crossing just south of Route 370 Friday morning so crews can replace the railroad crossing.
That portion of the road is closing at 8 a.m. Friday and will reopen before noon Tuesday, Oct. 9, MoDOT stated in a news release.
All work is weather permitting.
Since Route 141 is will be closed, MoDOT is alerting drivers to use alternate routes.
MoDOT stated that detours will not be posted, however, drivers can remain on Route 370 to I-270, take I-270 south and head west on St. Charles Rock Road to detour around the construction.
