Did You Notice The Public Notice For This Land Along Mason Road?

The 41 acre parcel of land is being broken into two parcels for construction of a home.

Wednesday night, the Town and Country Planning and Zoning Commission held a subdivision review and voted to approve allowing the one parcel of approximately 41 acres of land at 1919 South Mason Road to be subdivided into two lots.

Alderman Fred Meyland-Smith, who sits on the planning and zoning commission, tells Patch that the southernmost lot of 21 acres is set to be purchased by one individual who has stated his intent is to build one home.

Meyland-Smith said the northernmost lot will then remain under current ownership and the entire parcel of land is already zoned as residential.

"There is no rezoning," Meyland-Smith explained. "It's merely taking one lot and breaking it into two lots."
