Manchester residents and business professionals are being recognized for their outstanding qualities.
The West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce has selected its nominees for Business Person of the Year, Business of the Year and the Don Essen Heart of the Chamber award. The Don Essen award is given for an "active member that attends chamber functions who has served on a committee and consistently displays a service above "self" attitude within the chamber."
Among the nominees for the Don Essen award are the City of Manchester's Director of Finance Dave Tuberty and Manchester resident and former Rockwood School District Superintendent Craig Larson.
Candidates for the award are nominated by The West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. The chamber provided the following bios of both men.

"I just think that it's a real asset to us and the community that he would be nominated for that," Manchester Mayor David Willson tells Patch. "That's quite a feather in his cap."
