The potential residential development would be located at 812 Hanna Road, just south of , according to City Engineer Ed Blattner.
"They're looking to try and develop it into a small subdivision," Blattner explained.
Blattner tells Patch the neighborhood would be on the approximate four acre site which currently has one existing home on it.
The home, currently owner by Lilly Picraux, according to St. Louis County records, would be torn down.
"I don't think anybody actually lives in the house anymore," Blattner tells Patch.
Neighbors of the property tell Patch the home is vacant.
Blattner said the subdivision would consist of single family lots, but he wasn't sure on exact number of how many homes. Neighbors tell Patch they've heard the development might contain 13 new homes.
Blattner said McBride & Sons has submitted preliminary plan information which he and the city's director of development reviewed, made comments, and sent back to McBride for some revisions to the proposed plans.

He said some of the questions for McBride addressed stormwater drainage and buffers to existing residential properties.
"We're waiting to hear back from them, to see how they address our comments," Blattner tells Patch. "We're still discussing the needs and criteria they need to follow. I'm sure it can be resolved, it just needed to be looked at."
Right now there is no date set for construction of the new neighborhood.
"We're still looking at plans. It hasn't been to planning and zoning, it hasn't been to the board of aldermen," Blattner said. "I think we're several months out."
