A public meeting on Monday, Jan. 30 will reveal the preliminary construction plans and possible impact of the project.

The will unveil plans for an Interstate-270 expansion project at a public meeting next week.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday Jan. 30 at the The Lodge Des Peres, 1050 Des Peres Road, Des Peres, 63131.

"The meeting is to discuss a project to improve the flow of traffic on Interstate 270 between Interstate 44 and Manchester Road by constructing an additional northbound through lane between I-44 and Manchester and an additional southbound through lane between Dougherty Ferry and I-44," MoDOT stated in a news release Monday. "Because of roadway restrictions, such as railroad bridges, this will mean narrowing all through lanes to 11 feet wide, similar to what was done on I-44 during the I-64 reconstruction."
