Manchester Sets Date For Confidential Paper Shredding

The service will be offered to residents only on October 13.

Confidential paper shredding will be offered to Manchester residents from 9 a.m. to noon on October 13.

 Director Bob Ruck said the will hold the confidential document shredding event in the lower parking lot of 

Residents will be required to show a photo ID.

Manchester residents should bring private papers and checks, not magazines and news papers.

Residents are also being asked to bring a canned good or non-perishable item that will be donated to the Circle of Concern.

Cintas Corporation, the company that provides document shredding for the city, will hold the event 

It will cost the city $750 for two trucks for three hours, which will come from the city's waste management account, plus overtime for some public works employees. However, some city employees and aldermen are volunteering their time to help reduce the cost of the event for the city.
