Manchester Resident Falls Victim to Tax Fraud

Plus, a moving company reportedly scams another resident out of money.

April 2: 800 block Heron Woods Drive

Identity Theft: A resident contacted police after finding she'd fallen victim to fraud. The woman's tax preparer reportedly called her to alert her that her tax return was declined because her social security number had already been filed. Detectives are investigating.

April 3: 300 block Reindeer Drive

Stealing: A resident reportedly paid Mike the Mover, a moving company, in advance for its services, but the company never showed up for the move.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 636-527-9200.
