Manchester TIF, Sidewalks and New Business Top Aldermen Meeting Monday
The Manchester Board of Aldermen is set to vote on allowing a Penske truck hub to operate in the city, plus discuss TIF, sidewalk repairs and the new Manchester Arts Council. View the full agenda here.
A number of issues are set to be discussed at Monday night's Manchester Board of Aldermen meeting.
A discussion about local TIF commissions is on the agenda, along with a possible vote on issuing a special use permit to a local business to run a Penske truck hub just off Manchester Road.
Ridgway Insurance Group LLC, wants a special use permit to also operate as a Penske agent from his current location at 14575 Manchester Road. This request was not recommended by the city's Planning and Zoning Committee and Manchester's Director of Planning, Zoning and Economic Development Franz Kraintz previously pointed out concerns over traffic and noise at the public hearing for the permit request. The vote was deferred at the last two board of aldermend meetings, but a decision make come Monday night.

Aldermen will also discuss the sidewalk repair project for Meramec Station Road and creating a task force for the Manchester Arts Council. Aldermen got an update on the newly created Manchester Arts Council and were given guidance on how to move forward with creating the council.
