Manchester Aldermen Talk Stormwater Project, Block Grants

Monday night, the Manchester Board of Aldermen holds a public hearing on block grants, plus discuss a storm water project and community recycling.

A public hearing will be held Monday to discuss the allocation of $24,300 in community block grants that will become available after January 2013. 

The Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) distributes federal funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to aid local housing programs for low and moderate income households.

Aldermen are set to discuss entering a $209,271 contract with J.H Berra Construction Co. Inc. for work on a stormwater project for the Chadwick Subdivision. The city planning to construct a storm sewer in the area of 1123/1125 Bromfield Terrace as part of the project.
