Town and Country aldermen will discuss entering into a contract with Loomis Associates Inc. for its professional services to help with the site planning for the restoration of the log cabin moved from 13348 Conway Road.

The log cabin in Town and Country was disassembled Monday, Jan. 28 and moved to Drace Park for storage. The cabin is being preserved as part of the city's history.

Loomis' services are expected to help the community determine where to reconstruct the log cabin. They will include coordinating public forums as the process moves forward, preparing a base site plan at Drace Park for the cabin and preparing the final site plan for the cabin's reconstruction.

The funds raised by the Town and Country Historical Society will be used to pay for the contract which is estimated to cost $1,745.

Private donations are still needed as the process continues and can be made to the Town and Country Historical Society.

Aldermen will discuss the issue Monday night and could vote to move forward with the contract at the following board of aldermen meeting.
