New Candidate May Join Race for Missouri's Second District
Randy Jotte could join Ann Wagner and Ed Martin in the race for the Republican nomination in Missouri's second congressional district which includes Manchester and Town and Country.
The field of Republican candidates in the field for Missouri's newly-redrawn second congressional district may be set to grow. Current U.S. Congressman Todd Akin announnced he would not be running for re-election of the district, which includes Town and Country and Manchester, but plans to run for Claire McCaskill's U.S. Senate seat.
Randy Jotte, a one time Webster Groves City Council member who most recently ran unsuccessfully for spots in the Missouri General Assembly and St. Louis County Council, has launched a website and other campaign apparatus to consider a bid for Congress. The news was also reported Monday by PoliticMoand the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the St. Louis Beacon.
Jotte's website says he is a 1978 graduate of , and is currently an ER doctor at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Former RNC Co-Chair Ann Wagner and Attorney Ed Martin are already in the race to succeed U.S. Represenative Todd Akin.
