The City of Town and Country has created a Facebook page to update residents on the upcoming Clayton Road and trail construction.
Department of Public Works Director Craig Wilde tells Patch construction on Phase One of the Clayton Road Project is expected to begin next week.
The board of aldermen authorized an agreement between the city and L. Krupp Construction for $1,610,665.04 to begin Phase One of the project at the Sept. 26 meeting.

Phase one includes resurfacing on Clayton Road beginning at Highway 141 and going to Oak Springs Lane. It also includes the construction of the Clayton Road Trail, a pedestrian walkway, from to Oak Springs Lane.
Wilde said construction will start with the trail and then resurfacing of Clayton Road will begin.
"We are giving the contractor the option to pave at night. Just paving, not the trail, and that is to relieve traffic congestion," Wilde tells Patch. "If we do night paving, we do anticipate that there will be exposure to noise from the operation as it goes past, but it will not be all night."
Wilde said more specific information, including overnight work, will be released shortly so residents are aware of any disruptions that may occur.
"It's all about traffic mitigation. We just know if we pave this thing during the day, we're going to back up cars like you wouldn't believe, but that's not to say we aren't also going to do some paving during the day," Wilde explained
He plans to post project updates on Facebook daily and will send out updates in email blasts weekly.
"I want to get it out there and I want people to be able to get project updates," Wilde tells Patch.
Phase one is expected to be complete with the installation of landscaping in the spring.
