West County Man Charged With Sodomizing, Molesting 7-Year-Old

St. Louis County Police said Joshua L. Masters subjected a young girl to sexual contact.

A West County man faces several charges related to having sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl.

Joshua L. Masters, 33, of the 600 block of Painted Vista Drive in unincorporated West County south of Manchester, was charged Tuesday with crimes including first-degree statutory sodomy, two counts of first-degree child molestation and furnishing pornography to a child.

St. Louis County Police said that between Oct. 22, 2011 and Oct. 22, 2012, Masters subjected the girl to sexual contact through clothing and underneath the clothing. Police he also made the girl touch his genitals.

According to court documents, Masters also showed the girl videos of adults engaged in sexual intercourse.

Bail was set at $200,000 for Masters.

Masters was released from prison in May 2010 after serving more than three years of a 10-year sentence after pleading guilty to first-degree assault that resulted in a serious injury. He also was sentenced in 2007 to three years in prison for burglary and theft, and two years for tampering with a witness.
