West County Fire Crews Work With Local Teens
The West County EMS and Fire Protection District spent time with teens helping them grow through activities.
Earlier this month, the hosted Teens in Motion, a subgroup of St. Louis Arc.
St. Louis Arc is a nonprofit, United Way agency that provides support and services to more than 3,000 adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities, its website states. St. Louis Arc also offers its services to the families of its clients throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Teens in Motion is a program for teens 13 to 15, designed to provide them with community volunteer and leisure activities. The program also works to prepare teens for future employment and help the younger participants identify vocational and leisure interests.

"It was a great day," said West County EMS and Fire Protection District spokesperson Kim Bacon. "The kids helped us with routine station chores, like washing vehicles."
