West County Fire Crews Help With Hanna Road Garage Fire

Manchester fire crews help with Valley Park fire. Check out the photos sent in by a resident.

The above photos of a garage fire were sent to Town and Country - Manchester Patch by a resident.

The fire broke out on Hanna Road, just south of Vance Road.

Although the Valley Park Fire Department handled the fire, crews from Manchester were among the agencies called in to help. They got the call around 7:20 p.m. Friday.

According to Deputy Chief Jeff Sadtler, West County crews were called in as part of the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), which is a rescue crew on stand by in case they are needed. Sadtler stated in an email that ultimately West County crews helped with "salvage and overhaul," making sure the fire was completely out.
