An undercover operation by Manchester police reportedly helped recover a stolen camera that was listed on Craigslist.  As police attempted to make arrests Oct. 24, investigators said the driver tried to pull away, knocking over a one detective and throwing him under the wheels.

Officers surrounded the car with guns drawn, and the driver stopped. The detective was not seriously injured.

Cody Coleman, 19, of the 600 block of Windingpath Lane in Manchester, was charged Tuesday with assaulting a law enforcement officer for driving away and knocking over the detective.

Geoffry Gutmann, 19, also of the 600 block of Windingpath Lane, was charged Oct. 25 with felony stealing.

Manchester Police said during the transaction at about 4:25 p.m. Oct. 24, Gutmann allegedly showed the camera to an undercover officer posing as a buyer. Police then moved in to make the arrest.

Officers in marked tactical vests with badges displayed ordered Coleman to stop the car. One detective grabbed the front passenger door handle, and Coleman accelerated, knocking the detective off balance and throwing him under the car. He was not seriously injured.

Bond was set at $25,000 for Coleman and $15,000 for Gutmann.

Maybe you should read the article again. It didn't say anything about the SWAT Team, it said undercover officers. Do you really think the suspects are going to sell the stolen camera to a uniformed police officer?
