Two Manchester Abduction Attempts Reportedly Not Related

Manchester police are reportedly investigating two attempted abductions in the last 10 days, but say they don't believe the incidents are related.

According to FOX 2 News, the parents of a fourth grader who reportedly escaped an attempted abduction this week are urging students and parents to be on the lookout for anyone driving the suspect vehicle.

As previously reported by Patch, this incident was reported to Manchester police Tuesday. A Hanna Woods Elementary School student said she was approached by two men in a van while she was riding her bike home from school, but was able to make it home safely.

This is the second time an attempted abduction has been reported to Manchester police in the past ten days. Both targeted young girls.  The first one happened on Sept. 23 on Enchanted Parkway when a teenage girl was approached by a group of people as she walked her dog.

Police do not believe they are connected, according to FOX 2 News.

The parents of the Hanna Woods student are now urging parents and students to be on the lookout.
