Town and Country Traffic Stop Reveals Theft, Drugs

During a Town and Country traffic stop, police reportedly find drugs and a stolen debit card.

The  said the photo included in this article shows a traffic stop that turned up drugs and stolen items.

Police Captain Gary Hoelzer stated in an email that the incident was caught on a police cruiser dash-cam video around midnight on Oct. 3. He said Sergeant John Flanagan stopped a vehicle coming out of Williamsburg Estates. Flanagan found the driver had a suspended license and was in possession of the drug marijuana and paraphernalia for heroin.

Hoelzer also said the suspect was in possession of debit card belonging to a woman. When Flanagan later called the debit card holder, she told police the card was stolen and it had more than $800 of fraudulent charges on it.

The 25-year old man, of the 7800 block of Fleta Street in Affton, was booked on the original charges along with felony theft. He was released pending application of warrants with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorneys Office, Hoelzer stated.
