Town and Country Prowler Alert

Police are warning residents of suspicious activities in the area, along with an attempted burglary.

The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department.

Town and Country police issued an alert Friday warning residents of reports of possible prowlers and an attempted burglary.

According to the email alert, police said in the past week they have received three separate reports of suspicious people and vehicles in the same area as an attempted burglary on Feb. 5.

The email states that all three reports came from Mason Estates Court. That is just south of the Feb. 5 attempted burglary which took place off Mason Road, north of Highway 40.

According to investigators, the latest incident was around 1:30 a.m. Friday, in the 13000 block of Mason Estates.

Police stated that a resident spotted a suspicious male on his back deck. The suspect is described as 5'7", 180 pounds, and wearing a black hoodie and khaki pants. According to the email alert, the suspect was attempting to open the sliding glass door to the home and was last seen running from the area.

Town and Country police report two additional incidents last weekend on Mason Estates Court when residents spotted a silver vehicle on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Police said this vehicle matches the general description of the suspect vehicle in the Feb. 5 attempted burglary.

Police are urging residents to call 911 if they observe any suspicious people, vehicles or activity in their neighborhoods.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Rick Kranz at kranzrg@town-and-country.org.

Anonymous tips on the thefts can also be called in to St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers at 866-317-TIPS (8477).
