Town and Country Police Warn Residents About Landscapers

The Town and Country Police Department is warning residents to watch out for two people who just had their permits to work in Town and Country revoked.

The Town and Country Police Department is warning residents to watch out for two people whose permits to practice in Town and Country were recently revoked.

Captain Gary Hoelzer said in a news release Wednesday that police got involved after receiving a complaint from a resident regarding suspicious behavior by a man offering tree-trimming services. Hoelzer said the complaint led authorities to investigate two people who had been issued permits to solicit in Town and Country. The investigation reportedly revealed that two people employed by J.V. Tree & Landscaping had failed to disclose information on their original application, so work permits for Chad Oberg and John Merges have been revoked.

Police are asking any residents who have information related to Oberg or Merges to please call Detective Sergeant Rick Kranz at 314-587-2860.
