Police Investigate Westminster Thefts, Burglary, Property Damage

Town and Country police have recovered computers stolen from Westminster's parking lot, but are still investigating the theft, plus a reported burglary and property damage.

March 19: Westminster Christian Academy/800 Maryville Center Drive

Theft: Two Dell laptop computers and a Garmin GPS system were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the parking lot of  Police report that shortly after the theft, the two laptops were purchased by a person who was approached by the suspects in a Quick Trip parking lot, at Gravois Road and Chippewa Street. The person declined to purchase the GPS and the laptops have since been recovered, according to police. Police are searching for a man and woman in connection to the thefts. The man is approximately 32-years-old, short blonde hair with a possible tattoo on each forearm. The woman is 25 to 32-years-old, long wavy brown hair with tattoos, including one possibly on the left side of her neck. They may be driving a s white 2002 Saturn 4-door car car.

March 19: 12300 block of Coppersmith Court

Burglary: A housesitter reported that someone entered the home and stole a desktop and laptop computer overnight. According to police, the case is under investigation, but a preliminary investigation revealed no forced entry.

March 19: 12700 block of Clayton Road 

Property Damage:  A mailbox was damaged by a homemade explosive device at approximately 11 p.m. Police said fireworks appear to have been put together with duct tape and placed in the mailbox. The mailbox suffered signifigant damage, but no word on a damage estimate.
