Town and Country Police Identify Suspicious Vehicle

Tuesday police said they have located and identified the "suspicious" white truck spotted in Town and Country Monday.

have identified what was reported as a suspicious vehicle early Monday morning.

Tuesday police tell Patch the white truck with an asphalt placard that approached a resident about selling asphalt has been located and is now applying for a peddlers license from the City of Town and Country.

"The occupants are from southwest Missouri and Arkansas and are looking for jobs in the West County area. They were advised that they must have a peddlers permit in Town and Country," police stated in an email update Tuesday.

Police remind residents to research any company with which they do business.

Police said no crimes have been reported in the area, but they are asking residents who notice a suspicious vehicle or person in the neighborhood to call 911 or police dispatch at 314-737-4600.
