Thieves Using Counterfeit Cash, Stolen Checks in Manchester

Manchester police are investigating reports of counterfeit currency, stolen checks and a bad credit card.

The following information was supplied by the Manchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.

Counterfeiting: Two counterfeit $20 bills were used as currency at a local store according to police.

Nov. 27: 1200 block Holgate Drive

Stealing: Police are currently investigating after personal checks were stolen, forged and cashed. 

Dec. 4: 700 block Stone Canyon Drive

Identity Theft: Detectives are investigating after a resident reported a credit card had been fraudulently opened in his name.
