Theft Tops Manchester's Recent Crimes

Thieves target Walmart, Kohls and cars in this most recent police blotter. The following information was supplied by the Manchester Police Department.

May 24: 14400 block Manchester Road 

Stealing: Detectives are investigating after a car dealership reported 120 temporary tags that were stolen from a locked drawer. Police estimate the value of the stolen tags to be $893.

May 26: 200 block Highlands Boulevard Drive

Stealing:  reported several pieces of make-up were stolen. One person was arrested, booked, posted bond and was released. The value of the stolen items is estimated at $25. They were returned to the store.

May 27: 14400 block Andersohn Drive 

Stealing/Drug Paraphernalia: A pair of running shoes, a wallet and several pair of athletic shorts were stolen from . Drug paraphernalia was found during the arrest, according to police. One person was charged with stealing/shoplifting and VMCSL (a drug paraphernalia charge). The estimated value of the stolen items is $190. The items were returned to the store.

May 27: 500 block Thrush Drive

Stealing: A resident told police his wallet was stolen. He noticed the disappearance after a party. Police report $200 was in the wallet, along with three credit/debit cards.

May 29: 200 block Highlands Boulevard Drive 

Stealing:  loss prevention officers called police after noticing several people stealing video games, controllers and accessories. According to police, two people were arrested after a brief chase. Both were charged with stealing, resisting arrest and property damage. The value of the stolen items is $170.

May 30: 100 block Gaywood Drive 

Stealing: An employee told police that her radio was stolen from her car while she was at work. The value of the radio is $100.

May 30: 1000 block Howard George Drive 

Tampering: An employee Veterinary Specialty Services reported said when she attempted to start her car she noticed that the ignition switch had been tampered with and sunglasses and the faceplate from the car radio were missing.
