Resident Falls Victim to Attempted Social Security Fraud

Plus, Manchester police are investigating a burglary along Manchester Road.

Sept. 9: 14300 block Manchester Road

Burglary: Police responded to a burglary. Items were stolen and the detective bureau is investigating.

Sept. 2: 100 block Highlands Boulevard Drive

Stealing: A customer reported to police that he left his cell phone in the store and when he went back to get it the phone was gone. The phone was entered as stolen. This case will be forwarded to the detective bureau for further investigation.

August 30: First block of Leaside Court

Identity Theft: A resident found someone had tried to open an account with the Social Security Administration and file an unemployment claim using the victim’s name and social security number.
