Manchester Residents Targets of Scams, Police Report

Residents are contacting police saying they've been targeted by scam artists.

The following information was supplied by the Manchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.

Identity Theft: Detectives are investigating after a resident called to report that someone has been using her social security number to make fraudulent claims.

Scam:A woman said she received a call telling her that she had won $5 million in a lottery and in order to receive the winnings she would have to pay a $599 fee first.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 636-527-9200.
