Manchester Resident Thwarts Attempted Burglary, Police Say

Police say the man heard glass break and found would-be burglars trying to get into his neighbor's home.

Police say on Sept. 27, two would-be burglars got a surprise from the neighbor of a home they were trying to access.

Investigators say the incident happened around 8 p.m. in the 900 block of Sunburst Lane.

A neighbor who heard glass breaking reportedly went outside to investigate the noise. According to police, the resident found two people trying to break into his neighbor's home. When the two would-be burglars saw the neighbor, authorities said they got into an older model Buick and drove off. The resident called police.

The people who live in the house where the incident took place were not home at the time of the attempted break-in, police said.
