Manchester Police Searching For Smash and Grab Thieves

Thieves hit two businesses and made off with about $50, police said.

are searching for suspects who pulled off a smash and grab in a strip mall early Monday morning.

According to Manchester Police Captain Charles Hunn, thieves hit Hollywood Tan and Glory Cleaners in the Stone Gate Plaza Shopping Center. The strip mall is located just off Highway 141 on Big Bend Road.

Investigators said the thieves threw rocks through the glass doors of both businesses and made off with about $50 total between the two.

"They just threw a rock through, walked in, got the cash drawers and walked out," Hunn tells Town and Country - Manchester Patch.

Police are also reviewing surveillance video from a nearby gas station.

Hunn said police got the call around 3:40 a.m. and think the burglars hit between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m.
