Manchester Police Searching For Hit & Run Driver

Manchester police are looking for a white car that struck this Ford Focus around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Check out photos from the scene.

According to the a resident's parked car was reportedly struck in the 1500 block of Mautenne Drive around 8:40 p.m. Thursday. The driver that hit the car fled the scene.

Police tell Patch they are searching for a white vehicle, possibly a two-door honda, with front and passenger side damage. The passenger side mirror may also be missing.

Ann Schultz tells Town and Country - Manchester Patch the parked burgandy Ford Focus that was struck, was her son's. Schultz is asking for the public's help in finding the driver who crashed into the car and took off.

"The owner, my son, is a college student and only has liability on the car. None of this is covered by his insurance," Schultz stated in the email to Patch. "We would really appreciate the help of the community to find the car/driver."

In the email, Schultz explained that her son's car was rear ended right in front of her house in the Country Woods Subdivision. She told police she heard the crash and came out of the house to find the car that had been parked on Mautenne Drive had been hit by another vehicle.

"The driver, who sounded like he was traveling at a high rate of speed, hit the (car) pushing it into the middle of the street," Schultz stated in an email. "The driver of a white car left the scene of the accident after causing considerable damage to both cars. The white car was last seen driving west on Mautenne and then north on LaFeil."

Police confirm Schultz's report and said they are looking for the driver. Evidence left at the scene is also being analyzed by investigators.
