Manchester Police Investigating Gabi's Break-In

Manchester police are searching for suspects after an overnight burglary at Gabi's Wine and Spirits in Manchester. Detectives say the crime is similar to another break-in in Ellisville.

Manchester police are searching for suspects Wednesday after an overnight break-in at off Manchester Road.

Manchester police were called to the scene around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Detective Sgt. Dan Rehm tells Town and Country-Manchester Patch that thieves smashed out the front door with a rock and stole an undetermined amount of cash.

At this point, investigators only know that the burglary happened between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday. They are trying to determine a more specific time the crime took place. Rehm said similar break-in took place between 2:30 and 3 a.m. at a Mobil gas station off Manchester Road in Ellisville.

Police believe the same people may have committed both burglaries.

Authorities do not have suspects at this time and are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact the at 636-227-1410. Callers should ask for the detective bureau.
