Manchester Drug Bust Part of Larger Operation

Police tell 'Patch' two pounds of marijuana were seized in a Manchester drug bust and more arrests may be coming.

 are releasing additional information this week after a drug related search led to an arrest and diverted traffic on Sulphur Spring Road Friday.

One man was arrested after the St. Louis County Drug Unit, assisted by served a search warrant and conducted a raid in the 500 block of Sulphur Spring Road around 7 a.m. Friday, according to Manchester Police Captain Charles Hunn.  That home is just south of .

Two pounds of marijuana were found in the home, according to Hunn.

"These aren't casual users," Hunn explained. He said more arrests are expected, however, police are not releasing many details because weapons are involved in this drug ring. "There's other stuff involved besides drugs that are just as deadly depending on how they're used."

Police tell Patch that although the man was arrested, he has not been been formally charged yet because the drugs need to be sent to the St. Louis County lab for analysis. 

Police said they are still unclear whether the man was distributing drugs from the Manchester home.
