Residents Report ID Theft Attempts to Manchester Police

Plus, Manchester detectives are investigating after a bad check was written at a local business.

The following information was supplied by the Manchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.

August 21: 600 block Big Bend Road

Pass Bad Check: Payment issued for goods received was returned unpaid. Efforts to contact the person who wrote the check have been unsuccessful.  The matter has been turned over to the detective bureau for investigation.

August 22: 900 block LaBonne Parkway

Fraud Procurement of a Credit Device: A resident contacted police to report his credit card company notified him that his credit card was used to try and purchase merchandise online. Nothing was purchased and he canceled his card.

August 23: 800 block Boleyn

Identity Theft: A woman said an attempt was made to steal her personal information. The case has been forwarded to the detective bureau for further investigation.
