Manchester Business Broken Into Twice in Two Days

Police said the second time Manchester Coin and Jewelry on Manchester Road was broken into, the thief made of with $3,000 in stolen goods, but was later arrested.

Police responded to a business burglar alarm at Manchester Coin and Jewelry, 14360 Manchester Road, on May 20 and found the back doors to the business were pried open. This was the second time police responded to the burglar alarm at this business in two days. They had responded on May 18, but at that time it appeared nothing had been stolen.

However, on May 20, the business owner told police jewelry, watches and a box of gold fill had been stolen. The items are valued at $3,000.

Captain Charles Hunn tells Patch that the burglar was caught on surveillance video and was then recognized by a Manchester police officer.

"That's how he was identified," Hunn tells Patch.

One man was arrested and police are applying for warrants. The man is facing burglary and felony stealing.

The stolen items were recovered from the suspect's home.
