Man Charged With Manslaughter After Fatal Hit and Run in Town And Country
A grand jury indicted George Putney on manslaughter in connection to the fatal hit and run accident that killed 70-year-old Ciby Kimbrough.
As previously reported by Town and Country - Manchester Patch, George Putney was initially charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident in connection the hit and run crash that killed Ciby Kimbrough earlier this year.

Kimbrough, 70, of North St. Louis County died from injuries she suffered in the Jan. 26 car crash Clayton Road and Woods Hill Drive in Town and Country.

Police expected more charges against Putney, 52, of the 1300 block of Forrest Lane in St. Louis, in connection to that fatal traffic crash.
Now, Patch has learned, Putney was indicted by the grand jury for manslaughter on Aug. 8. According to court documents, Putney was charged with one count of manslaughter and received a $100,000 cash-only bond recommendation from the grand jury.

Putney was never arrested on the charge, but turned himself in. Documents also show his bond was reduced to $35,000 cash-only, which he posted and he was released.
He has a case review scheduled in court for Nov 16.
Court documents also show Putney has a wrongful death lawsuit filed against him by Kimbrough's family.
