Police said John Schewendemann of Manchester voluntarily went to the Manchester Police Department Tuesday night after store surveillance video of the alleged incident was released to the media. Schewendemann was reportedly accompanied by his attorney at the police department.

Police said he was interviewed and admitted to shopping at the Dierbergs on March 28, but denied he tampered with the soup.
