Icy Weather Closes School but No Major Accidents
Parkway schools are closed Thursday due to the weather, but local police say things have been pretty quiet.
The Parkway School District closed school Thursday due to the inclement weather.
Both Town and Country and Manchester police departments said Thursday morning that calls had been pretty quiet overnight. Neither department reported an increase in accidents due to the snow and ice that fell Wednesday night into Thursday morning. They said most drivers apparently stayed off the roads at that time. Both said despite ice covered cars Thursday morning, drivers are not having many problems on the roads.
Crews were out treating roads as the snow and ice began falling Wednesday night.

The West County and EMS Fire Protection District is receiving an increase in calls for falls due to the ice.
