Former West County Pastor Indicted On Child Porn Charge
William Vatterott served at Holy Infant Parish before leaving for St. Cecilia's in 2008.
The U.S. Attorney for Eastern Missouri announced Wednesday that Father William F. Vatterott has been indicted on a charge of child pornography possession.

Vatterott, 36, is accused of having the material between June 2010 and June 2011. KSDK TV reports that he served as Associate Pastor at Holy Infant Parish in Ballwin before his most recent appointment at St. Cecilia Parish in 2008.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Father Vatterott was placed on leave in June 2011 when a complaint was filed with Ballwin Police. The U.S. Attorney's Office said the Archdiocese of St. Louis cooperated with the investigation and that Vatterott is due to appear in court to answer the indictment either this week or next.
Under sentencing guidelines, he could face ten years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
