Fire Station One Cooks Up Father's Day Pancakes

The West County EMS and Fire Protection District Station One invited families out for a free Father's Day pancake breakfast.

This Father's Day, the  invited the community to Station One for a free pancake breakfast. Families enjoyed breakfast, got to tour the station and the emergency vehicles, and children got hats, toys, and silly bandz shaped like firefighting equipment.

The West County EMS and Fire Protection District thought Father's Day would be a great time to invite families to the station.

"We're always looking for ways to draw in people for safety messages, especially in the summer when the schools are shut down. We've got pancakes and we've also got information for the families today on water safety, wearing a helmet, and grilling safety," said district spokeswoman Kim Bacon.
