Ex-Parkway Coach Pleads Guilty In Sex Case

Brent Woody was a basketball coach at Parkway Central High School. Sentencing is scheduled for January.

The United States Attorney's Office announced Friday that Brent Woody, a former coach at , issued a guilty plea in federal court to a single count of transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Sentencing is scheduled for January. Under federal sentencing guidelines, he could face 10 years to life in prison, and/or a fine of up to $250,000, as well as supervised release for life.

Woody, 29, was first indicted by a federal grand jury in the case in January. He also faces 15 counts of statuory rape in St. Louis County Court. His attorney, Adam Fine, declined comment Friday afternoon.
