fire crews were one of he departments that responded to the scene around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
Tim Dorsey confirms to Patch that traffic was stopped in both directions of the Interstate 270 near the Clayon Road overpass in Town and Country after a power line snapped and landed on the interstate.
Dorsey stated that fires were sparked on both sides of the highway due to the incident.
Ameren crews responded and removed the wire from the road. All lanes of I-270 were reopened by 9 p.m.
