On July 30, police received a report of a man barging into a residence in Maryland Heights uninvited, presenting the elderly resident with a business card. The subject allegedly suggested the resident redo the kitchen floor and have the trees trimmed, and then allegedly picked up money on the kitchen table.

In St. Charles, police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station on Aug. 13. The man was described as unshaven and wearing a long-sleeved red shirt, work gloves and a camouflage hat with a towel covering his hair and ears.

A victim in Richmond Heights told police on Aug. 8 that he sent $840 via Western Union to Kingston, Jamaica. He said that a caller told him he needed to send a small amount of money in order to collect on winnings of $950,000 and a Mercedes Benz.
