Crime Alert: Town and Country Morning Thefts

Town and Country Police are warning residents to lock their doors, especially garage doors.

Town and Country police are warning residents to lock all exterior doors after three thefts in less than one week. Two of those thefts happened Tuesday morning, Cpt. Gary Hoelzer stated in an email.

According to Hoelzer, the three residential burglaries took place in homes bordering Town and Country, between Ballas and Bopp roads. The burglaries are happening between 9 and 10 a.m., and entry is typically made through unlocked garage doors, Hoelzer's email stated.

Once inside the garage, forced entry is made into the home and jewelry and prescription drugs are being stolen.

Police are advising residents to make sure their alarms are activated, jewelry is secured and all exterior doors are locked.

Any suspicious people or vehicles should be reported immediately by calling 911.
