$10k Piece of Jewelry & More Stolen in Manchester's Recent Crimes

Police have a suspect after a $10,000 piece of jewelry went missing from a Manchester home. That and more in this most recent edition of Manchester police blotter.

June 13: 900 block Hanna Place Court 

Property Damage: Police are investigating after someone drove a car over a freshly-sealed parking lot. Several marks were left on the black-top, according to investigators.

June 13: 700 block Queensbridge Road 

Theft: Detectives are investigating after a woman told police a piece of jewelry valued at $10,000 went missing from her home. Police do have a suspect. They stated that there was no sign of forced entry and several people were in the home prior to the item disappearing.

June 12: 100 block Highlands Boulevard Drive 

Property Damage: Someone struck and damaged a store sign while leaving a parking lot. Police said the driver left the scene, but was subsequently stopped and returned to the scene. Ivestigators said the driver told them he had reached down to pick up something and when he momentarily took his eyes off the road, struck the sign.

June 12: 500 block Fox Run Estates Court

Fraud: A resident said that his credit card was used without his authorization to make on-line purchases totaling $807. The card was cancelled and the incident is being handed over the Manchester detectives.

June 12: 14000 block Andersohn Drive 

Call for Assistance: Police responded to a call of a four-month old child locked in a car, along with the car keys. Police were able to help the caller get back into the car.

June 12: 900 block Brookvale Terrace

Burglary: Someone stole a wallet with credit cards, check book and a GPS from a car parked on the street. Police said there were no signs of forced entry. The driver did not remember locking the vehicle.

June 12: 800 block Rockridge Drive 

Ordinance Violation: Police were called when construction workers began working before 7 a.m. They made noice prior to the city's 7 a.m. construction start time. Police advised them of the city ordinance.

June 11: 300 block Royal Village Drive 

Ordinance Violation: Police told two people to leave the area because they were soliciting without a city permit. 

June 11: 400 block Glan Tai Drive 

Animal Complaint: Police received an early morning complaint of dogs barking in neighbor’s yard. The dog owner was contacted and agreed to bring dogs inside.

June 10: 200 block Highlands Boulevard Drive 

Stealing: One subject was seen hiding liquor in a back pack at the , according to police. He reportedly went through the check out with three people who paid for their items, but he did not. All four were stopped nd detained outside the store, then taken to the police deparment. The one subject who was allegedly spotted with the liquor was arrested and charged with stealing. The value of the liquor is $25.

June 10: 300 block Highlands Boulevard Drive 

Stealing:One person was seen putting items in a large purse and then leaving the store without paying for them. The person was stopped in the parking lot, arrested and charged with stealing. The value of the stolen items is $24.95.

June 10: 800 block Sulphur Spring Road

Credit Card Fraud: A man told police his credit card with being used out of state without his authorization. The card was canceled and the case is still under investigation. Police said $249 was charged to the credit card.

June 9: 700 block Hanna Road

Dumpster Fire: Police were called for the smell of smoke. An officer found a fire in a recycling dumpster. crews responded and extinguished the fire. Police said the cause of the fire could not be determined.

June 8: 300 block Old Meramec Station Road  

Stolen Auto: An investigation is underway after police said a car was stolen from a public parking lot, then recovered a few hours later by St. Louis County Police. The vehicle was locked at the time it was stolen. Detectives processed the vehicle and returned to the owner.
